The WOW Response

Oscar Wilde insightfully stated that “the only thing worse than not getting what you want, is getting what you want.” Such thinking is so contrary to prevailing notions of manifestation that is deserves our attention.

The real issue with the “project of making a better me,” is, more often than not, that it does not lead to consciousness, but to an increase of separation. Consciousness, experienced as the emergence of an aware witness in the midst of our quotidian reality, is the profound place of peace from which, both the beauty and terrors of our life experience can be negotiated with grace, spaciousness, and compassion. And consciousness arises out of authentic presence as opposed to continued craving.

Contemporary biology and neuroscience have demonstrated that we do not merely see an external world. Each eye interacting with its environment sees its own particular world, while the mind puts together a plausible narrative of what is happening. Our narratives generally minimize dissonance and create a world we can accept. But what if we would be willing to open to more dissonance instead of constantly trying to make the world in our own image? And what if such dissonance would reveal, not a world of meaningless chaos, but a world of emergent beauty, poetry, and power? Then, “manifesting our reality” would not be a new version of the idolatry of accumulating more and better goods, but an ongoing revelation of magic, abundance, and fearlessness. Then we could open to the gifts of both “success” and “failure” – each experience opening us to greater synchronicity, allowing us to relax and let things be as they are with ever-expanding gratefulness and peace. In other words, instead of meeting synchronicities and like experiences with new explanations, we meet them with gratefulness, with “wow, isn’t that cool!”
The purpose of manifestation is not to remake the world according to our conditioned desires, but to experience an ongoing revelation of connection and expansion with everything and everyone.

This seems like a very healthy way to open up to lifes experiences . Instead of seeing whats safe and easily processed , wouldnt it be better to just see. To not filter our perceptions of reality gives clarity and insight and each experience just opens up without the egos spin. This would be living with courage in each moment.

The Secret movie was an awesome example of how the law of attraction can summon the universal powers to manifest people situations and material things into your life.

All of the presenters had compelling stories that described in detail how their lives changed once they applied the secret principals.

I watched the movie several times only to discover the secret was never revealed nor did they explain how to actually make the law of attraction work in your favor.

I searched for a year and finally discovered exactly how the secret law of attraction works.

Anybody can put the principals to work for them and change their life dramatically in a short period of time.

It’s true, they are laws and they work all the time but its your choice to make them work for you and not against you.
